Not happy? We make it right
WHY IT MATTERS
Every summer the evaporator coil runs cold and wet, sitting in the dark inside your air handler. That’s a near-perfect place for mold and bacteria to take hold, and once they do, the system blows their spores and their smell through every vent in the house. A cleaning knocks it back, but in a Dallas summer it comes right back.
A UV light changes that. Mounted to shine on the coil, it kills mold and bacteria continuously, so the coil stays clean between visits and the air moving past it stays cleaner too. It works best right after a proper AC coil cleaning so it’s protecting a clean surface, and it pairs naturally with air duct sanitizing when mold has already spread into the ducts.

Answers to the questions Dallas homeowners ask most about this service.
It kills mold and bacteria on the coil and in the air passing over it, continuously. That stops the growth that causes musty smells and keeps the coil cleaner between services.
Yes. It’s sealed inside the air handler and pointed at the coil, not into your rooms. You never see it or come into contact with it during normal use.
The light keeps a clean coil clean; it doesn’t clean a dirty one. That’s why we clean the coil first, then install the light to protect it going forward.
Most UV bulbs run about a year, sometimes two, before they lose strength. We tell you the schedule for your unit and can swap it when you have other service done.
If the smell is coming from mold on the coil, which it usually is, then yes, once the coil is cleaned and the light keeps it that way. If the ducts are affected too, sanitizing them clears the rest.
